On the morning of November 21st, the signing ceremony for the " Innovative
Talent Training Base for the Preservation of the Grottoes and Earth Her itage
Sites along the Silk Road" was held in the Dunhuang Academy. The dean of the
Dunhuang Academy, Zhao Shengliang, and the president of Northwest Univer -
sity, Guo Lihong, signed the agreement, signifying that the cooperation between
the two parties has entered a new stage.
According to the agreement, the two parties agreed to cooperate closely in the
interpretation of heritage values, the construction of theories for preservation, the
research and development of preservation technology, digital preservation, inheritance
and utilization of the heritage, to give play to their respective strengths, and
to carry out innovative talent training based on scientific research projects.
