HAZRATI BOBO ARCHITECTURAL COMPLEX

Three unique type and different time line monuments: a mausoleum, a mosque and an old tree (as a natural monument) are interconnected and represent a single historical and architectural monument of Hazrati Bobo. Unfortunately, the mausoleum has lost its original appearance and now is a modern building. The mosque is badly damaged, only some parts of the old building are preserved. The tree has dried up, except for one green branch. Currently, the historical and architectural complex of Hazrati Bobo is clamped with modern buildings, and the security zone is constantly shrinking.

According to the surviving drawings and photographs (1958, etc.), the monuments of the complex and it appearance from the XVIII century can be restored. In this case, the monument can become one of the tourist sites of Khujand. Comparison of the object - a component of the Silk Road with other similar objects, regardless of their belonging to the Silk Road, and its distinctive features: The historical and architectural complex of Hazrati Bobo in Khujand, as of the 50s of the 20th century, was a very interesting composite monument. Proceeding from the remnants of the mausoleum that survived to that time, the researchers N.N Negmatov and S.G. Khmelnitsky believe that in terms of its architectural design, ornamentation and overall layout of the Mausoleum of Hazrati, Bobo stands in line with such outstanding buildings as Mausaide Bakhrom's Mausoleum in Kermin, the Shakhi Zinda complex in Samarkand, the mausoleum of Abdu Darun and others. The subject of interest presents large dried tree - thuya, home to which is the Far East (Japan, China, Korea) - probably a contemporary of the mausoleum.
