In this process, the science expedition team retook the ancient traffic line and explored the remains of historical sites, as well as combing the origin of Chinese civilization and history of Chinese and foreign traffics. Experts think that reviewing the Silk Road, basing on the "The Belt and Road". It is worth looking forward to the future development of Xinjiang.

Dr. Wu Xinhua believed that Xinjiang owns a unique geographical position in the history of the Eurasian continent. The unique status of ancient traffic in the East and West of Xinjiang is determined the natural terrestrial environment of the Eurasian continent. Just open the Eurasian terrain map, it clearly shows that, snowy mountains, canyon and jungle rapids of the Tibetan plateau south of the Pamir Plateau, Gangdise-Himalaya, Guizhou Plateau, Lancang - Mekong River valley completely restrict the large-scale eastwards and westwards human movements. Then the arteries of Pamirs and the northern margin of the Kunlun Mountains become the only great thoroughfare at the southernmost tip of Central Eurasia. The second and third passageway regions are naturally from the Pamir and the Kunlun Mountains to North Tianshan and Altai Mountains which are two East-West trend ones. The severely cold Siberia forest belt north of the Altai Mountains is entirely unsuitable for large-scale human exchange and immigration between the East and West in ancient time.

According to Chinese ancients and books, Kunlun Mountain is a sacred one located in the West, and the source of the Yellow River lies in Kunlun Mountain. The two symbols of Chinese civilization both have deep roots with Xinjiang which is located in the west, and ancient Silk Road also leads through here. So it will be a design full of connotation to comprehensively consider the three important cultural issues. Jia Congjiang, one of the accompanying experts and head of the Institute of History of Xinjiang Academy of Social Science, said.

In addition to the field visits of a large number of experts and scholars, media reporters also constantly transfer information in this event. Various media take field visits, interviews with experts and photography and other forms, so that many readers can have more understanding and awareness of the Silk Road “Kunlun River Source Route”.
