尤卡·尤基莱托博士、教授(Prof．Dr．Jukka Jokilehto)，芬兰建筑师和城市规划师，国际著名的文化遗产保护史学家和哲学家。1971年起，工作和居住在意大利罗马。他的博士研究课题是文化遗产的保护理论和保护史，完成于英国约克大学。19 72年起，他服务于总部设在罗马的国际政府间文化遗产保护与研究机构——国际文物保存与修复研究中心(ICCROM)；1998年从该中心助理总干事职位退休。1993至2002年，曾担任国际古迹遗址理事会(ICOMOS)国际培训委员会主席。2000至2006年，担任国际古迹遗址理事会世界遗产顾问。近年来，作为ICCROM总干事的特别顾问，他依然在建筑遗产和历史城镇保护领域从事咨询和讲授活动，包括向ICCROM、ICOMOS和联合国教科文组织(LJNESCO)提供咨询服务。其著作除本书外，还有与伯纳德·费尔顿爵士为ICCROM联合撰写的《世界遗产地管理导则》(The Management Guidelines for World Heritage Sites ICCROM，1993)，以及文化遗产领域大量的其他著作。他的作品很多都被翻译成多国文字，为各国同行所借鉴。郭旃，文化遗产保护专家。1976年毕业于北京大学历史系考古专业。1982年在中国社会科学院研究生院获得元史专业硕士学位。从1982年至2009年退休，在国家文物局历任文物处副处长、办公室主任、文保处处长、世界遗产处处长、文物保护司巡视员等职，常年主持国家文物局地上文物保护与维修、历史文化名城保护和世界遗产等工作。参与创立和推动发展了中国的世界文化遗产体系，与国际遗产保护界保持着密切的联系，包括参与组建国际古迹遗址理事会中国委员会(ICOMOS／China)，推动中国加入国际文物保存与修复研究中心(ICCROM)，协调组织第28届世界遗产委员会和第15届国际古迹遗址理事会(ICOMOS)在中国举办等。目前，已连续两届被选任国际古迹遗址理事会五位副主席之一和该组织理论委员会、乡土建筑委员会和文化线路委员会的成员；担任澳门特别行政区社会文化司顾问；并兼任众多学术团体职务，从事大量专业咨询和讲学活动。
